ThriftyVac evacuates all resealable bags however higher quality bags retain vacuums longer. Simply slide your food bag's seal underneath the Housing's arm with the open end of the seal resting on the Housing's ramp then close the outer bag and operate the vacuum pump.
Adding cooking oil just inside the seals of ordinary resealable bags improves vacuum retention.
